all the interactions among organisms living together in a particular
area and between those organisms and their physical environment. The
interactions can be self-sustaining—that is, the ecosystem can continue
to operate—only as long as energy is provided to the system. Energy
flows through an ecosystem in one direction, and once it has been used
by; organism, it is not available for reuse by any ism in the ecosystem.
Living organisms living system assume the roles of producer, consume
decomposer, depending on their sources of e Energy flows from producers
to consumers to decomposers.
