Understanding Population Growth

All living organisms rend to re-produce in greater numbers than can survive, but an organism’s environment (which includes food, water, and living space) limits the size of its population. The human population is swelling rapidly; if it continues to increase at its current rate, we may reach the limits imposed by our world environment. If that occurs, the human species could be significantly reduced in numbers or even destroyed. Here, we focus on the dynamics of population growth and describe the state of the current human population. We examine the consequences of continual population growth and explores ways to limit the expanding world population.
